Ablakwa Releases Tenancy Papers

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has released his tenancy agreement to counter allegations of owning a property at Airport Hills. The controversy surrounding his residence began during his vetting as Foreign Affairs Minister Designate, when Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin questioned the property’s ownership.

Ablakwa maintained he was merely a tenant, but Afenyo-Markin remained skeptical, requesting the tenancy agreement. The minority leader later suggested the property belonged to Ablakwa, while social media claims alleged the minister bought the house in his sister’s name.

However, on TV3’s Key Points show, Ablakwa presented documents proving the property belongs to Husni Altheebeh, a Jordanian businessman in Ghana. The minister attributed the allegations to “deliberate propaganda” by his political opponents, likely due to his role as chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee.

Below is the video excerpts of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa interview on TV3.
